In a bid to creating a very virile platform where the up and
coming music artistes in Nigeria can hang out once in a while and put their
music skills into display for people to see, the Top Naija Music company has
decided to kick off her open mic program titled the Night Of A Thousand
Music.
The event is designed to bring together up and coming acts
within a region and have them perform their latest songs. While it helps them
express themselves properly through stage performances, it helps would-be music
investors to evaluate theese up and coming acts for the purpose of doing
business with them (i.e. signing recording deals).
The CEO of Top Naija Music Company, Paul Oghoghorie said
"we are very excited that this idea has finally come to life after many
months of planning and structuring. And we are happy that it is kicking off in
Abuja which is the capital of Nigeria. We hope to see it grow and expand to
anywhere Nigerians are domiciled as time goes on.
The maiden edition is set to hold at 3js Hotel, Utako, Abuja
on Saturday 30th April, 2016 from7pm. The is a collaboration between
Top Naija Music and 3Js hotel, with the logistics support of Chaperon Group.
Over 50 music artistes in Abuja and other parts of the country are expected to
perform.
The juicier part of this show is that at the 2016 edition of
the Top Naija Music Awards, the NightOf A Thousand Music Artiste of The Year
Award will be presented to some up and coming music acts who stand out
in their performances in any of the editions of the program.
The event is designed to hold in all the 6 geo political
zones of the country as a way of discovering new talents.
